The EyeCare Partners Innovation Center (EPIC) is an information and technology center of excellence that unites the expertise of over 1,000 eyecare providers with data across the EyeCare Partners network to advance eyecare quality, education and research. EPIC leverages that wealth of data and expertise to improve patient outcomes, streamline care delivery and drive sight-saving advances. The Innovation Center also opens the door to collaboration with private practices, academic institutions and leading industry partners.

Through strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, the Innovation Center envisions a comprehensive data strategy, encompassing both optometry and ophthalmology, that can deliver exponential value for our patients, doctors and business.

Education

EPIC champions education across doctors, patients and clinicians. Our flagship Refractive Cataract Anterior Segment Fellowship (RCAS) provides one year of advanced training to graduates of ophthalmology residencies in the United States.

Research

As leaders in clinically integrated eye care, ECP has unmatched breadth and scale, with every specialty and sub-specialty represented; 700 optometry and over 300 ophthalmology providers; and a large clinical care dataset. Our team members have been conducting clinical research for 35+ years and over 500 research studies. EPIC partners alongside our Technology & Innovation Committee of our Medical Executive Board to stay aware of, engage with, and where appropriate, evaluate, consider and collaborate on emerging and new technologies and innovations in eye care and eye health.
